Sanity Hill is located just north of Teeswater, Ontario, on County Road 4. From the south take County Road 4 north through Teeswater past the 8th Concession and look for the Sanity Hill sign on the right hand side of the road! From the north (Walkerton way) head west on County Highway 9. Turn left at the Teeswater sign (County Highway 4). Then proceed south past Concession 10 and look for the sign on the left hand side of the road! From the north (Kincardine way) head east on County Highway 9. Turn right at the Teeswater sign (County Highway 4). Then proceed south past Concession 10 and look for the sign on the left hand side of the road! From the north (Port Elgin way) head south on County Highway 20 until you reach the County Highway 9 (you will have to stop!). Proceed straight through the intersection as County Highway 20 becomes County Highway 4 south of the intersection! Then proceed south past Concession 10 and look for the sign on the left hand side of the road!

Quilting is a communal craft, quilters spending hours working around the edge of the quilting frame, usually deep in conversation and laughter! It is no surprise then, that a sense of ‘community’ is very important to both Hilda and Murray! Throughout the year the Wales and Sanity Hill undertake a number of fundraisers and activities in support of the Make-A-Wish foundation. At the store you will find a Quilt and Craft magazine exchange. Here you can bring in a magazine and exchange it for one in the exchange. But if you don’t have a magazine to exchange Sanity Hill accepts a loony, which promptly goes to Make-A-Wish! As well, anyone can bring clean, crushed pop tins to the store where they will be collected – again with proceeds to Make-A-Wish. On Father’s Day this Spring, Sanity Hill will host one of the exhibits in the 16th Annual South Bruce Vintage Tractor Tour, and amongst the old tractors, steam engine and antique butter churns you will find a bake sale, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish of course! Sanity Hill understands the meaning of community and lives it every day!

Sanityhill.com has 694 bolts of quality fabric in the store from suppliers like Robert Kaufman, Timeless Treasures and Riley Blake.We carry flannel, 100% cotton, cuddles fleece, children’s novelty, oriental, Shetland flannel, interweave, linen blends, Essex yard dyed, poplins, soft cords and paisleys. All our fabrics are available in fat quarters, 1 yard cuts, 1/2 yard cuts, multi-lengths and whole bolts. We are custom quilter/seamstress friendly! We also carry batting – all sizes – Dream Puff – multi-purpose, no shrinkage and will not hold a crease! Dream Puff is 1 1/2 times warmer than down and when finished can be machine washed and dried!Sanity Hill specializes in threads – machine and hand quilting by Gutermann.
